Mother charged with death of her unborn baby after fight.

A mother has been charged over the death of her unborn baby after a fight broke out with another woman. Marshae Jones, 27, was shot in the stomach by Ebony Jemison, 23, while five months pregnant in December 2018. However because Jones initiated the fight and continued to lash out at Jemison a jury in Birmingham, Alabama, decided that she should be indicted over the baby’s death. Police found that she was at fault because she initiated the fight with Jemison who was acting in self defence in a row about the baby’s father. Pleasant Grove Police Lieutenant Danny Reid said: ‘The investigation showed that the only true victim in this was the unborn baby.

What a shame for this poor baby, denied a life before it really started.

Alabama continues it's quest to become Gilead. A woman gets shot and she's the one who gets brought up on charges for it, good ****ing grief.

Literally, that's not even a mad comparison. The Handmaids tale is so scary to watch because I do actually sit there thinking, this could happen so easily (and is already starting to happen in some places)

I didn’t even have to read the OP to know that this was Alabama. Such a messed up place

..this is what the worrying thing is..that this is showing how easily this mindset..(..and laws..)...are happening, it’s terrifying the speed at which the wheels of the Western world could turn backwards...
