My solution to stop racism in future BB\'s!

Just choose a house full of white people, there would be no racism then and we could have proper arguements in the house we can enjoy to watch.

That would create even more critism because BB itself would be being racist! :joker:

LOL, I said the exact same thing to people I know the other day, They then all said it was Racist.

But really, I mean no matter who you put in there, people are always going to get offended with somthing someone says. Add that to the fact that the world has gone PC Mad.

ah sod it......... no win situation.

and why choose only white people? why not a house full of blacks or asians? racially discriminating auditionees would stop racism in future big bro? i dont see the logic! that really is a very bad solution.

It simply can't happen, easypeasy.

You are correct, when you say that it would stop any racism against another fellow housemate.

But,

A housemate could still make a Racist comment about someone from another race or colour, even though, there is no non-white housemates there.

BB would be accused of being Racist, if they discriminated against inviting non-white housemates to the BB house.

so u think people watch BB because of the color of the skin of contestants? very wrong. people watch big brother, and support housemates for their personalities rather than their skin colour. do u look at skin colour cuz i can honestly say ive never even given it a thought.

You have got to be kidding me! THAT'S your solution? Its not even a PC matter. Its a matter of having morals and decency. It should not even be a matter of HOW hate words are used, or trying to defend WHY someone said it and in what context, just that they shouldn't even be a part of your vocabulary IN THE FIRST PLACE. I understand how you can make it 'ok' in your own mind if you are not part of a minority group, but that doesn't excuse blatant ignorance. When words are used against a minority group, whether it be race, nationality, sexual orientation, age, etc., it usually is because you do not have the ability either in your knowledge or moral fibre to be able to talk about a particular subject without lowering to basically name-calling. Most of these threads I have read based on this subject seem to be trying to find a way to justify how the words were said. Easy solution....abolish them from your vocabulary. Speaking as a part of a minority group, I hope the youth of today can get it into their heads that there is absolutely NO REASON to ever digress to using hate language as adjectives in their verbage.

Im playing the devils advacado here, like it or not the colour of a persons skin does affect the way they are percieved. whether the individual decides to folow a racial stereotype or not is another matter. Last year Shahbaz was the least stereotypical asian male Ive seen on tv, this year Charley is proud to declare herself a ni##er and is happy to be true to the stereotype.

nodisharmony 10-06-2007 07:15 PM

All kinds of people, whether "White" or "Non-White" are welcome to BB & CBB that is Fact!!!

It will never change. Never....

Every BB & CBB WILL have white & non-white housemates & this idea of excluding one side is in fact Racist...

yeah really i do think the house would be dull if they were all the same, white black or green.

nodisharmony 10-06-2007 07:25 PM

Yeah, where is Kermit the frog when you need him?

That would add that touch of green that is lacking:laugh::laugh:

oh my word shall we have separate schools as well? lets do one better and bring back the white's only signs that people like rosa parks and martin luther king fought to rid the world of. what a shame you can't hear how u sound.

easypeasy 10-06-2007 08:21 PM

fair enough, Rosa Parks and MLK fought hard for black people not to be called the n word, whereas Charley takes great pride in being one(except she gets offended if someone with pale skin calls her it). wheres the logic?

fair enough but why punish every non white person because of charley?

geoking66 10-06-2007 08:34 PM

The logic is that Charley is a wannabe WAG hypocrite.

easypeasy 10-06-2007 08:45 PM

I wasnt being serious in suggesting an apartheid version of big brother, my tongue was in my cheek.
