Kazanne 29-06-2019 09:26 AM

Well hopefully he hasn't got health problems, didn't Tereasa May have an illness and she seemed to cope, he doesn't look frail to me.

Its good she has that connection and her diabetes controlled more safely.
I look forward to when ALL diabetics have the chance of it for them too.
Diabetes can be debilitating.

Jeremy's health is fine I'd say.
This is likely more fear he is probably going to lead a future government after an election.
Minority, coalition or majority but I cannot see a majority government for any Party at present.

I'd personally rather he stood down but from what I can see, not due to his health.
Frail, good grief, he'd hate being thought that.

Livia 29-06-2019 10:58 AM

He's a lot of things, but frail doesn't seem to be one of them.

He's old af but he doesn't seem particularly frail. And even if he was, being PM doesn't involve many high speed action sequences.

I dont think anyone past retirement age should be taking up a senior position in parliament or the lords

I agree. I don't think it's ageist to say that if the retirement age is 67, then there should be no one older than that serving in government, let alone leading it. I don't mean just Corbyn either, I mean all of them.

Liam- 29-06-2019 11:27 AM

He rock climbs, he runs every day, he’s definitely a lot less frail and unhealthy than Mr. Johnson.

No matter what the man does, the Tory run media will always find something to whinge about when it comes to Corbyn.

Rock climbing and running wouldn't change the fact that he's 70 and three years over retirement age.

And yeah, Boris has had a really easy time with the press. Oh no, hang on a minute...

Well of course they will, the same as the other parties media does to each other,it depends who you support but someone will always disagree.

Twosugars 29-06-2019 11:35 AM

But how come Johnson runs and cycles and is still fat?

I didn’t realise ageism was allowed in politics? What’s his age got to do with it? He’s a healthy, fit man no matter his age

Boris has had a hard time for the things he’s actually done though, completely different, if there were articles about him not being fit for office because he’s overweight so therefore more likely to have a heart attack, I’d agree with you, his hard time has come from things he’s said and done through his political career.

How come Corbyn climbs and cycles and isn't muscular? People have different metabolisms and their fat/muscles work in different ways - if I have Corbyn's lifestyle I'd be RIPPED!

It's not ageist to say that if the retirement age is 67 for the rest of us then it should be the same for the government and the Lords. I'm only referring to Corbyn because he's the subject of the thread, but I think they should all make way, at retirement time, for younger people.

I'm no fan of Boris. He's a buffoon. But he, just like Corbyn, faces a whole world of crap from the tabloids.

If Corbyn should be in the news for something, it should be for the anti-Semitism crisis in the Labour Party.

They could do it in phases... get rid of the 90 year olds first.
