Do you think Love Island can do an LGBT series?

I mean it's doable but it won't be as straight forward if they really go all the way and put transgender and queer people inside. It will definitely make for an interesting series but will inevitably get a lot of backlash.

Would you watch it? Would your close friends and family who watch Love Island tune in for the LGBT series? If not, why?

This question/thread has probably been made before but I wasn't there when it happened so we're having this discussion again

They could do it if they put their minds to it I'm sure!

Morgan. 14-07-2019 10:03 PM

I’d love it any my mum World still watch. I’d just wonder how they’d work the format.

Gstar 14-07-2019 10:04 PM

If they do it I think it will be based on gay and lesbian only

montblanc 14-07-2019 10:04 PM

they should

Not in the same year as it over kill but there could do one year one and then the next year the other one

Now my head hurts

Daniel-X 14-07-2019 10:12 PM

It’s doable obviously, would be a little more complex than the normal series but it would work. However, I just think producers really are not interested in doing so and I don’t think it would rate well tbf either. I know for a fact most of my friends would hate it fff.

Would be a cute to see a four week experiment in January, but like I say I think it would absolutely bomb in ratings compared to the original.

Wasing there some like this done in a sky channel what was it call

Black Dagger 14-07-2019 10:26 PM

Just bring back playing it straight.

I would give it a shot if they tried it. I use to tell a joke about if i support gay marriage or not. I would reply of course i do they have as much right to be miserable as the rest of us. That concept sorta spplies to your question. I think it would be s good cultural thing to show gay people are just as dsyfunctional as the rest of us.

Twosugars 14-07-2019 10:54 PM

For example Courtney Act had a bisexual dating show not long ago. It can be done.

Amy Jade 14-07-2019 10:57 PM

I think it would do well if they did it

I would like to see an international show more than a gay one. Right now they have love island in 4 countries, uk, australia, sweeden, and america. They could pick 3 islanders from each country and put them in the same villa together and see how it works out. They could also expand it to include other english speaking countries like canada and south africa.

It would be an interesting social experiment to see if attraction supersedes cultural differences

Greg! 14-07-2019 11:45 PM

Yeah, they should try this. It shouldn’t be too hard to work out a format that would work.

Marsh. 14-07-2019 11:54 PM

Putting all bisexuals in so they could pair up with literally any other person rather than this girls/boys divide would actually be really interesting.

Withano 14-07-2019 11:56 PM

Probably. LGBT people can be ****ing awful narcissists too.

Denver 14-07-2019 11:59 PM

Anton already signed up?

I loved that show

I'd like to see it, putting a lot of bisexual people in would make it interesting
