Maura has finally got her man
 

I am so so happy for Maura that Curtis has come to his senses and realised what chemistry they have. I am hoping they last and hopefully stay together once it ends in two weeks. Francesca was totally wrong to pick him knowing so well how Maura really liked him. it wasnt as if she and Curtis had any huge connection. Maura looked so beautiful tonight and I am happy for her

In response to your OP rionablue, I think Maura and Curtis have some chemistry but I’m still a bit unsure about them for some reason. I just get the feeling they’re not as fully into each other as they make out and that it’s more of an attempt for better opportunities for when they leave as opposed to true feelings for one another. I could be wrong though.

I don’t think Francesca was wrong for choosing Curtis either. I would agree that Maura and Curtis have a better connection with one another, but Francesca had to choose someone to couple with and she has to go for the person she is both attracted too and who she sees more potential with and Curtis was that guy for her. If she hadn’t have gone with her true feelings, she would’ve been wasting her time and just sat there left wondering “if only” kinda like what Lucie did with Tommy.

You may be right and I know it sounds superficial but really there was zero chemistry between her and Curtis even before he went to sleep outside. He pretended he was happy but both he and Maura were disappointed in my humble opinion. As for whether Maura and Curtis can make a go of things we will have to wait and see but I would be very VERY surprised of any of the new islanders will turn their heads

I think Maura was disappointed but Curtis I’m not so sure. He is good at pretending and hiding his true feelings. Maybe he was unhappy? But sometimes his actions just don’t make sense to me, they tell a different story. I think there was a bit of spark there but he’s had the chance to get to know Maura a lot longer than Francesca and Maura was a bit persistent towards him which I think were main factors to his decision.

I wouldn’t be surprised if either of their heads were turned tbh. Curtis’ head was turned at a point when it seemed very unlikely that it would whilst Maura is more the type of person if she likes someone, regardless of her situation she will attempt to make a play.

Yano at the end do they do like a Goldenballs thing where they split or steal the cash? If not then WHY!? So many of them seem like it’s just for the money, most of them actually.

I don’t think I could wait around for anyone trying to decide between me and someone else :shrug:....he might as well have done a Pro’s and Con’s list like Ross ( in Friends ).....it’s so unemotional and so unromantic.
Curtis is pretty ruthless...I did like him with his charm but I have to say I have gone right off him.

Once the winners are decided, they are asked to choose an envelope each, one contains the money and the other has nothing. Whoever chooses the envelope with the cash then decides if they want to split the money with their partner or keep it all for themselves.

The thing is, is that after the show has ended they are opened up to a lot of money making opportunities anyways (magazines etc).

In his head he probably did do a list I reckon.
