TIBBs favourite Movie of all time

I did TIBBs favourite British sitcom a while back, now I'm gonna run TIBBs all Time favourite movie.

I shall again do it in heats, from each decade, the top places in each decade will go through to the final.

Coming soon!

Nice :D Quite a few movies come out each year though, let alone each decade!

Maybe you could do January 1960, Feb 1960 etc etc etc and the winner(/s) of each month go(/es) on to the final for that year?

Withano 19-07-2019 02:36 PM

I feel like that's one of those films that everyone knows all about, but no-one's actually seen.

That's why it's coming soon and not today, I'm still trying to work out how best to do it, I believe a poll only gives 25 options?

You could do part 1 and part 2

That 2 thread 50 movies

Marsh. 19-07-2019 10:09 PM

Do it a bit like Most Loved. Everyone who wants to take part submits a list of 10 nominations for each category (or decade etc). Then open voting for the most popular nominations.

michael21 19-07-2019 10:09 PM

Cant wait for this

That's an idea. Maybe people could pick there top 20 in each decade in a ranked order, 20 points for first, 1 point for 20th.Then we should get enough films to do a top 50 countdown of each decade. And then each decade winner will go into a poll.

Alf 19-07-2019 10:21 PM

How far back in decades could most people go? I could go back as far as the 1930's but I doubt there's many others on here who could go back that far?

Make it 60's and onwards.

DESPITE your wrong opinions on Tarantino. :smug:

Amy Jade 19-07-2019 10:48 PM

Sounds fun!

Alf 19-07-2019 10:56 PM

I need a deputy, someone who can do a good countdown thread with videos an information of the film.

And they might need to take over if I'm sent back to Tibb jail. Which is inevitable.

Alf 19-07-2019 11:15 PM

If you don't include the 30s then The Wizard of Oz or Classic Laurel and Hardy films doesn't get a chance.

The 40s has to be in, probably the strongest decade for Hollywood and also a great era for British cinema.

The main reason I want to do this is to raise awareness of classic cinema, try and keep it alive and not forgotten, and maybe interest someone to take a journey into it.
