Universal Pictures has unveiled back-to-back “Halloween” sequel movies that will open in 2020 and 2021.

The studio made the announcement Friday, noting that last year’s “Halloween,” starring Jamie Lee Curtis and directed by David Gordon Green, went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the horror franchise at more than $250 million worldwide.

The first film will be titled “Halloween Kills” and open on Oct. 16, 2020. “Halloween Ends” will open a year later on Oct. 15, 2021. Green will direct both films and Curtis will star

I mean I knew he wasn't dead because of the breathing at the end of the last one and I am always here for more horror but 2 more?

Do we need them?

The people want shirtless Myers (people actually want this:joker:)

But seriously this.

I mean are these really necessary? I’ll watch them but still

Cal. 20-07-2019 12:22 PM

I’m still 100% here for Laurie vs Michael <3

2018's Halloween was a great film and while I'm excited at the prospect of more (and the fact they seem to have a plan for the story and an ending in mind), I'm not sure what else they can do with the story. Halloween was an excellent story about Trauma and finding one's strength again but where can they do next? I think they could end up ruining all their good work with needless sequels. I hope I'm wrong though.

Plus I don't want any of the Strodes to die and two more films probably means we'll end up losing Laurie and Karen </3

It surprises me that they haven't added the 2018 version of his mask yet.

Judging by the twist in the climax of the last one with the doctor being on Michael's side but Michael turning against him, I'm thinking these two sequels will offer something more than just Michael and Laurie fighting for 180 minutes.

I hope so but I'm gonna temper my expectations, Halloween was lightning in a bottle and I really don't think these sequels will be able to do it again.

I predict a new Back to the future remake in the next decade, along with a remake of all the Harry Potter movies.

I still need to see the one that recently came out :skull:

Here for this though :clap1: Slashers seem to be dying out now </3

And they delayed Halloween Kills to next October, and Halloween Ends to October 2022.

The films may end up on streaming if the cinemas continue to suffer.
