Thunder and Lightning

Is this going on in anyone else’s area? Seen a lot of people in the uk from different places talk about it on twitter. Love a good thunderstorm!

LaLaLand 24-07-2019 12:44 AM

Yeah been raging here for about an hour (North Wales).

Got the window open listening to the rain and the thunder, bliss.

Denver 24-07-2019 12:50 AM

Yes started minutes after I got home

Kate! 24-07-2019 01:18 AM

Just started here in St Helens. Bliss.

It's been happening over here for the past hour or so.

Mitchell 24-07-2019 03:34 AM

We’ve just had a huge bit of thunder, enough to wake up our entire street pretty much

I think Parm is quite local to me, so wonder if he was woken up too

caprimint 24-07-2019 05:31 AM

We had it, I was outside when it was lightning for a bit :flutter: It was amazing to see

Can't wait for winter already

Nicky91 24-07-2019 06:24 AM

sadly no :bawling:

Cherie 24-07-2019 06:30 AM

I could see flashes around 2am way off in the distance, probably over Mitchell and Parm, no thunder though

Josy 24-07-2019 07:50 AM

Weve been away in a hotel for a few nights and the heat has been unreal, so we went out walking about 3am because we were expecting the thunder and lightning but there was nowt :/

I tend to get a tension headache when it's so hot/clammy and I know it will go once it thunders

/weird

It's scary I was so afraid.

Livia 24-07-2019 08:57 AM

I left the roof of my car down. I thought, it'll be okay, it's hot... it's not going to rain.

It's drying out in the sun right now.... should've asked Trumpet.

LT explain my area being totally covered in this image, but we haven't even had any rain last night or today, let alone a thunder storm :suspect:. Currently mostly overcast with a few patches of blue sky, horrible, hot, and humid.

See that bright pink bit about 1.5cm south of Norwich? Well my open car was almost directly underneath it.

Everyone in work is talking about how loud the thunder was last night, I didn't hear a thing  Possibly over medicated my summer cold

Not in your condition Missy  You have to deal with the sleepless nights for a little while longer

Yep it went on for ages. Kept me up for a good hour made me panic about my rabbits in the garden being in a metal cage!
