America does have a problem with drug prices and ethics, but its not the equivalent of shooting someone

Don't get me started on drugs companies and their artificial prices. They used to call that kind of behaviour profiteering.....

It should be criminal, frankly, the strangle grip that pharmaceutical companies have over the progress of curing diseases and treating them, too.

Sanders is always going to be doomed because he is rallying against the money that is going towards smear campaigns from other, hollower politicians but it would be rather myopic to disagree with him on this issue. If people would stop attacking each other and finding random little groups (whether ethnic, political or age) to blame, and tackle where exactly money is going and why, the world would be on the right track.

They both result in the preventable death of an innocent..in that respect they're the same.

There used to be a word for people who essentially say "your money or your life" ...

I'm SURE I read at one point that they were making it (or trying to make it) illegal to source meds from outside the country, too, so that people couldn't bring it in from Canada. They were using the excuse that it "wouldn't be approved for medical use" if it wasn't from a US source, so it wouldn't be legal. As though Canada is handing out dodgy inferior insulin.

It's disgusting. Big Pharma rule the world

People are dying from diabetes in the US because they have to ration their Insulin and it kills them in the end. It's ****ing awful and the pharmacy companies behind these price hikes, to me, are one of the biggest examples of true evil in this world.

They are killing people and getting away with it.

I have a friend who is Type 1 diabetic and has it extremely well under control, even baffling his doctor who asked him to describe his routine, and he says it's basically down to just keeping a really close regular eye on blood sugar levels and getting it spot on with balancing sugar and insulin intake. God knows how he would be able to do it that way if he had to worry about where his next dose was coming from or how much it might cost? The temptation to ride out high blood sugar if it's "not that bad" would be very tempting because the short term effects aren't very dramatic, but the long term health implications are huge.

The other side of it which is really bad, and is murder in my opinion is the drug companies peddling their opiate drugs. Where they went out with the intention of addicting as many people as possible. They are still arguing that they did nothing wrong
