A Young Brexit woman tweets against Socialism

Some valid points

Ammi 15-08-2019 10:05 AM

..they’re only really valid points, Arista...if they look at the issues and negatives with Capitalism as well...it doesn’t make sense to say they’re against socialism but then to advocate capitalism as ‘the way’...it’s obviously a balance of both...anyways they talk a very ‘privileged’ talk......

You need to buy your Bread
Capitalism is Logical.

1) They're reading from a sheet and have no idea what they're actually talking about
2) They're clearly wealthy
3) They're talking about communism whilst referring to it as socialism
4) They're reading from a sheet

The extreme end of socialism (communism) doesn't work. The extreme end of capitalism (unregulated free market) doesn't work. The best system we have currently is a regulated capitalism with the employment, wages and housing structures -- and an active consumer base -- propped up by an appropriate and fair number of socialist policies. Anyone who tries to argue for one "versus" the other is ... misguided.

To put it in simple real world terms: remove all socialist policies from the UK and the consumer base will collapse instantly, taking along retail and the private rental sector which would plunge us into instant recession, if not an outright economic spiral.

Mummy and Daddy have dutifuly raised a couple of Rees Mogg clones, but perfectly designed to be Instagram drones. :clap1:

I guess it's easy to be hardcore pro-capitalism when you were born with parents at the top of the pile.

That's generally how these things are. I'd also be very, very surprised if their family doesn't have a significant amount of money and property outside of the UK. You cannot trust anything people say if that is their personal situation, because for them as individuals, it really doesn't matter if the UK economy collapses completely. They can just leave. Or stay, because they can convert from other currencies as-and-when-needed and thus don't even need to worry about the value of the £.

one of the comments on twitter so true

''Criticising “young rich privileged students who’ve never had a real job”....

I guess we can add self awareness to the list of things you’re apparently missing.''
