Reuniting with his ‘Game of Thrones’ brother Richard Madden for ‘The Eternals.
-------------------------------
Marvel has confirmed at D23 that Kit Harington will appear in The Eternals, meaning he will reunite on screen with his Game of Thrones co-star Richard Madden. Harington will play Dane Whitman, a.k.a. the Black Knight. He’ll be the third Game of Thrones star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, along with Madden and Sophie Turner, who plays Jean Grey in X-Men.

The full cast of The Eternals will introduce many stars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time, including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek and Kumail Nanjiani. Stay tuned for more news to come out of D23.

It seems that because The Eternals are a big part of the Marvel universe, and yet for "non comicsy folks" they're sort of niche / unknown, they're absolutely packing it with big names to entice a big Box Office turnout? Hopefully it's not distracting though, too many big names in one film can break immersion :worry:.

Congratulations to him.

Hopefully for me personally that he is playing a more interesting and less intrusive character than what he ended up doing on GOT.

Hopefully he talks with a bit of enthusiasm in this one.

I did tire of Jon Snow's monotone delivery.

She's McQueen :)

Tbf they'll probably let him keep his real accent which helps a lot of actors to have a bit more range. Maintaining a fake accent takes concentration and that takes away from the performance for a lot of actors.

Is that his real accent?

I always thought he was doing an exaggerated impression of Sean Bean. :joker:

He is doing an exaggerated Sean Bean, that's what I'm saying :joker:. He might be a bit less flat if they let him act in his real accent (which iirc is generic southern English)
