Manchester Gay Pride

Did anyone else go? It was so badly organised omg

We only did the Sunday but we barely got in to see any music, the tickets we had never said that we had to get in at 7pm and then Cheryl and Ari only did a 30 minute set. So many people were not allowed in it was terrible.

Before anyone starts yes we did go to celebrate pride, we went out in the day and then went back to our hotel to change for Ari.

So when exactly is pride month, officially?

Sounds like it's being hijacked, like everything else, for people to make money out of.

In Manchester, Pride (or Mardi Gras as it used to be called) has always been celebrated over the August Bank Holiday weekend as far back as I remember. Its massive now compared to years ago and is usually a brilliant weekend. I haven't been for a good few years but know loads of people who go every year.

I never really bother with Pride tbh. I was actually invited this year but the person who invited me couldn't be arsed and in hindsight Im glad we cancelled going, it sounds like **** this year

They hiked the prices up when Ariana confirmed. We paid £30 I think and they were £60 a week later

Dont blame Ari though. She was fantastic and did an amazing set

My friends went all weekend and liked it I think omg but it sounds terrible!

...it must have been really so emotional for Ariana and all who were there to see her, Amy...

We went to the indoor bar after Becky and then got forced into a queue of pushing and shoving. I climbed the gate it was a joke.

I went to the London one...I must say it was brilliant.

You were lucky to get back in by all accounts, people on Twitter are claiming they left to use the toilets on the way in and were refused re-entry and did you see the line for the bar?

So silly to have the bar facing right through the crowd. Enjoyed it but so badly set out

My town had a little Pride event yesterday, it was lovely. It was a family event in the market area, with lots of stalls and games and stuff <3
I wouldn't go to a city one tbh

I guess that's what happens when Pride basically becomes its own commercial festival that isn't able to facilitate the number of people who attend.
