I still have DVDs but the last one I bought was about two years ago.

All the time.

I love my DVD collection, I'm proud of it. It's money spent over a lot of years with something to show for it.

I have around about 800 films, and most of the great British sitcom boxsets.

I started collecting about ten years ago when I realised that the TV didn't put good programs on anymore, so I needed good things to watch.

I buy Blu rays and 4k blu rays. if I had to buy a dvd (Hell fest wasn't on blu ray neither was Leprechaun returns) I will but I don't get why they cant put most horrors nowadays on blu ray.

Lots of them are in big tupperware boxes in the spare room, I have a few DVD cabinets full. Some in the living room on display, one in my bedroom.

Barry. 06-09-2019 10:08 PM

I too got a bit confused. When I put in Halloween 4k it says its unavailable but when I put Halloween 2018 it appears.

I've been trying to get BSG back from Amazon.

Basically if I have to, I will buy my favourite Shows/Animes/Movies on Blu-Ray/DVD, but if I can put them on my Amazon account instead then I will.

I have got to buy a lot of my favourite stuff back though as a lot of them have broke due to age.

I don't buy many but it was about downsizing rather than not wanting them, mostly just horror and favourite movies now.

I see most movies in the cinema now though, unlimited savesxme so much money

Daniel-X 06-09-2019 11:23 PM

I rarely ever watch films so no, I probably watch a film once every three months or so and that’s not an exaggeration.

LaLaLand 07-09-2019 12:23 AM

Yeah but never bothered with Blu-Ray, am I really missing out though? Is the difference really substantial?

Natalie. 07-09-2019 07:25 AM

Yes but not very often but that's the same as always

Oliver_W 07-09-2019 09:40 AM

I definitely prefer physical media - I use the repective players for the main five channels, but otherwise I can't be bothered with faffing around with streaming services.

Then there's the thing where shows or movies change service - someone who uses Netflix for the MCU is now wasting their money, but no-one can take away my DVDs <3

Calderyon 07-09-2019 09:55 AM

Only pornographic.

Vicky. 07-09-2019 09:55 AM

I buy DVDs still, bluray have always seemed a huge rip off to me so not those. Its ripping myself off buying dvds really though, given you cna get literally everything for free online though I guess
