Is it beginning to look a lot like autumn?

I think so! Maybe that's hypocritical of me because it was only the other day I was stood in the sun looking at leafy trees thinking "summer is here to stay" but today it's been a tad cold and the sun is setting earlier and earlier! I honestly feel like some kids could be knocking my house down for some sweets any minute now like it's Hallow flipping ween!

I miss summer and although we have roughly two weeks of it left I've already made my peace with its time. Thanks for making me sweaty and uncomfortable for an 18th year in a row you sweltering bitch

It does and I'm so happy. Autumn is my favourite season especially because of the telly

MTVN 07-09-2019 08:39 PM

First felt it yesterday when I was up just before 6 and it was still dark then this morning it felt really crisp out, nice and sunny but a real chill in the air

Thoughts definitely turning now to jumpers, log fires and warning red wine

I know right!

It has done more or less since it hit September to me last Sunday. It felt like a proper autumns day I remember. I’m not impressed though, by far the worst season.

I certainly don't get the hype around Autumn but I prefer Early Autumn compared to early Spring

But that's mainly because early Spring is morbidly cold and dark when it should be the opposite

Summer > Late Spring > Winter > Early Autumn > Early Spring > Late Autumn

Yes, loving it.:cheer2:

Autumn ~ no different from winter anymore !
and i don't bloody like it ~ at all .

Flu, virus's colds , dark. damp and gloomy.

You can actually feel it... I love the seasons but Autumn is my favourite. I like blue skies and sunshine, fallen leaves and the lovely colours as the trees shed their leaves :cheer2:

Yeah, colder and windy.

You really feel the change once August is over.

In no time it will be the middle of winter, and dark at 5 PM.

It scares me how it feels like there's no 'Spring' or 'Autumn' anymore! It feels like there's only two seasons: Summer and Winter. Honestly Spring just becomes indistinguishable from Summer and vice versa with Winter and Autumn

I was going to mention this in the OP, but at the end of September last year/the one time I went out in September last year (we're talking very end, like, 29th?) I was out and I was so warm I had to change into shorts because I felt like I was going to pass out

It was also still relatively light out kinda late on, too. For that one day, it felt like summer was back. Which is sorta bizarre, with October just under two days away at that point

(off-topic but sorta related to my point of how it can feel like different seasons compared to what season it really is, I've just been reminded of the time we had snow in April only a few years ago :skull:)
