THE hungry housemates were left reeling after failing their fishy shopping task, forcing them to live on basic rations for the next week.

They were forced to dress up in sardine costumes and climb into a tin in the garden one by one to earn a luxury food budget.

But evil BB had filled the tin with sardine brine and offal and forced the gang to move around to make sure they were covered in the stinking mess.

The housemates failed to net the top prize because they only managed to stay in the tin for one hour and 20 minutes – three hours short of their target.

Big Brother had sealed the time they needed to spend on the task in a smaller sardine tin in the garden.

Now the wannabes will have to live off basic rations including beans, rice and lentils.

A show insider said: “Food has been the number one source of arguments in the house and this is going to drive them all absolutely bonkers.

“They’re probably going to kill each other – but it’ll be hilarious to watch!”

Oh dear.......Poor housemates.....
