NRA sues San Francisco for declaring group a 'domestic terrorist organization'

The National Rifle Association sued San Francisco on Monday over the city’s recent declaration that the gun-rights lobby is a “domestic terrorist organization”.

The lawsuit, filed in US district court for the northern district of California, accuses city officials of violating the gun lobby’s free speech rights for political reasons and says the city is seeking to blacklist anyone associated with the NRA. It asks the court to step in “to instruct elected officials that freedom of speech means you cannot silence or punish those with whom you disagree”.

Last week, the San Francisco board of supervisors passed a resolution calling the NRA a “domestic terrorist organization”, contending the group spreads propaganda that seeks to deceive the public about the dangers of gun violence.

Some sense! We did a bit of a road trip through Southern USA a couple of years back and then finished off flying into San Francisco for a few days, honestly it was like flying into a different country, attitudes were so different, cars they drove etc

yes, also been couple times to San Francisco during our america holiday roadtrips, usually ending our holiday in San Francisco

and yes it is different from another city anywhere in USA

hotels are great quality too, very friendly staff at the hotels we stayed in

well maybe NRA are not a terrorist organization but still they need to learn to step up and do something to prevent more shootings, but now they just do nothing and continue to approve of selling guns to people

and yes they might get called names but if you mess up you might risk of getting a bad reputation

You should be more concerned with how tolerant you are towards mass shooting by taking the side of an organisation that profits from these tragedies and is all too happy to see them continue.

NRA is a cancer upon the US that has too much sway over it's politics.
