10 Things Wrong With BB7. Rant

This series could have been the best as it started off so well but unfortunately it quickly faded.

10 things wrong with this series. (In order as it happened.)

1. George and Dawn were a waste of two spots. George never really stood out. Dawn's exit was bizarre but she did seem genuinely nice. I liked the way she stood up to Shabaz, unlike Sezer.

2. Everyone hearing the "Get Grace Out" chants in the garden. It not only made Grace an easy target for nominations but it made her change her personality thus erasing her status as a "villain" as so many people saw her as. However every series does need a villain.

3. Susie being allowed to nominate anyone (Aside from Lisa). Too much power being given to a contestant (especially a new one, as she hadn't proven herself at that point). I wished Grace would have won the box task and got immunity instead of Lisa. I can't understand Susie's husband paying £4000 for a ticket, yet she didn't really do much whilst in there.

4. Big characters like Sezer, Grace & Shabaz were all gone by Day 30. I hate the fact Grace left early. Grace was very underappreciated as a housemate. I felt we were beginning to get a feud between her and Aisleyne which would have been entertaining. It would have been the two alpha females of the house going head to head, but it was cut short. I felt Lea and Nikki were scared of Aisleyne when they had their arguments with her but Grace wouldn't have been. (Plus Grace would obviously have had Mikey on her side.)

5. Poor selection for HND aside from Jayne. Annoyingly she was the first to go from that group. Spiral was too aggressive for me. Didn't understand Michael's hatred of Richard, seemed somewhat unjustified.

6. Nikki being evicted over pretty much everyone else? It's hard to believe she went over the likes of Susie, Michael, Spiral etc.. Very odd. If the public had been voting to save instead of evict, the boring characters would not have survived.

7. Some of the longest lasting housemates (Imogen, Pete and Glynn) were dull. Imogen just always seemed like a follower whether to Grace or Aisleyne. I did like her but felt she should have brought more to the series, considering she lasted nearly the whole time.

8. Lea or Grace should have re-entered in the last week instead of Nikki. Grace - as we could have got Grace VS Aisleyne as their feud was just starting to build before Grace was evicted. Lea also would have been good as her and Pete might have got together. Nikki just didn't really bring that much in the final week.

9. Pete winning. Too predictable and not entertaining enough. (Even the producers called Pete boring which is why he was not asked back for Ultimate Big Brother in 2010.) I didn't like his sob story with Richard about that whole dream he had. Felt like he was fishing for votes. He was also overconfident about winning as he stated Aisleyne might have ruined his chances of winning during the speech, which is unfair to put on Aisleyne. Pete overreacted big time.

10. Series went on for too long. Should have ended at around Day 70. Had it not have been for the ex housemates I probably would just have skipped to the final few days. Lisa or Jayne should have been picked over Mikey for the ex housemates.

I generally agree.

I too think it could have been one of the best but too much went wrong. Cut it to 10 weeks, remove the twists and you potentially have the best series ever. As it is, I prefer 6 and 5. Also completely agree about Grace.

I liked Imogen, though.

Can't agree on the Glyn being dull part. Greatest housemate ever of any of the 19 civilian series.

Sezer being evicted over Richard and Lea was the epicentre of the downfall of that series. Had Lea gone that night, she wouldn't have been missed.

It's crazy to think that if only Imogen and Sezer hadn't of been disqualified from nominating then it could very well have been just Lea and Richard up for eviction.

*George also leaving right before nominations didn't help either as he too would have probably voted Lea and Richard....

Sezer was a repulsive scumbag, 2nd favorite eviction of all time next to Maxwell's

Lea was a massive part of BB7 and a much more interesting and compelling personality than Sezer (or, indeed, most other housemates)

Sezer was horrible, he deserved to go when he did if not before

We're talking about Lea the whole person. Not just her tits.

Sezer's downfall was ultimately his overconfidence & temper. I cringe badly at how overconfident he was about staying over Lea & Richard.

The moment's Sezers fate was sealed was that row he had with Richard. Sezer did had some fair points as they unjustifiably hid the alcohol from the rest of the housemates but the way he lost his temper at Richard really was what got him evicted.

He was heroic for standing up to a big guy well over 6ft who was picking on a young girl. And for that, the public kicked the hero out over the bully.

We know the voting public regularly got things totally wrong. They voted Nikki out in an 11 horse race against people like Michael and Spiral in the same series.

He was a horrible bully to Shahbaz. Granted, so was Richard, but that doesn’t make Sezer any less of one.

Shabaz was getting on every housemates last nerve, Sezer did what needed to be done with him and speak up for the rest of the house. Sezer only told him what everybody was thinking about him, and that was needed. But I believe it was Richard who came up with plan to send Shabaz to Coventry.

I disagree. Yes Shahbaz was annoying but the way he was treated was indefensible. Chucking his food away, throwing food at him, locking him outside, stealing his clothes while he was in the swimming pool were all awful things to do and none were warranted, I agree that Shahbaz was grating but nobody deserves that.

I think the main problem with 7 was that all its standout moments happened within the first month. (Shabahz being bullied, WHO IS SHE, Grace's eviction etc) After the first month I guess things just started losing steam and the series definitely dragged out for too long. This was even made worse after Nikki's original eviction. If it had lasted 10-11 weeks like 5 and 6 then the overall quality of the series would have been better.

Regardless I still think 7 is a great series (except for that horrible first week) and safe to say I enjoyed it throughout despite the problems it has...

Spot on! I agree with every word. :clap1:

His eviction was the start of BB7's downfall. He should've stayed longer.
