Manchester or London?
Following on from the other thread. The two first and second London’s might as well go head-to-head.
|
its like comparing NYC to Montgomery lol
|
Manchester.
London’s way too busy/you can’t walk down the street. Plus the price for anything in London is extortionate |
...I could say London just because I’ve never visited Manchester...and I do love London...but that wouldn't be fair, so I won’t vote...although I love London, it’s not my favourite city in the country...I love Newcastle much more......
...hopefully, one day I’ll visit Manchester....I have a few friends from there...on the forum and in real life, one of my closest friends is a Manchester gal...and if the place is as beautiful as the people I know...well...:flutter:.. |
London
|
I prefer London but I find both pretty great.
|
Manchester  for many reasons

only been to Manchester twice but I liked it a lot more than London... London, I think, is too broad to even consider as a singular entity. It's like asking if you prefer New York or all of Canada.
|
Manchester vs Croydon.
ok well done manchester you win/ |
The skinniest kid in fat camp award.

London..I don't find it that expensive if you are willing to shift around.
|
London
Manchester is trash |
I was in London once for a day, I left with my lungs filled with ****e quality air and a horrible cold and headache. Manchester >>>>>>>>>>>>> Burnley >>>>>>>> London
|
Liverpool is a much, much better city compared to Manchester if we’re talking about the north!
Liverpool > London > Manchester Grew up going to Manchester a lot and I still go regularly with family and friends, but honestly it’s nothing special at all and it’s RUBBISH for a night out. |
London>>Anywhere else in UK.
Manchester is great though. |
Manchester is a much friendlier place than London, so it wins my vote for that
|
I'm not a fan of cities in general #countryboi, but I guess I'd lean towards London as I sometimes work with the BBC.
|
Depends what you are up to to be honest.
Night out definitely Manchester but a day out then London. |
London for me.
|
London, I like Manchester, but I found it difficult to move around on public transport
|
As a North Londoner who has recently moved to Manchester (city centre) for a year, I'd say I prefer London overall but I do really enjoy living in each city!
The nightlife is better (and cheaper) in Manchester and because it's smaller it's convenient to get around on foot. I think I'd enjoy Manchester even more if I actually had friends here, however I still love it! Homelessness is defo a lot more visible in Manchester which I found really shocking when I moved here. |
LDN but I don't think the North's grim - I'm kind of a Northerner. Also LOVEE Liverpool too!
|
As a proud northerner I voted Manchester
But I prefer Liverpool |
