I don't know how they cope with the trials
I hate every form of insect. Im scared of snakes and lizards etc. I have a bad gag reflex and I'm not comfortable with heights
The one trial I thought id be fine with is the ones that have rats and mice in them as they are cute but that said I have just discovered a mouse staring at me in my cleaning cupboard at work when I was on my break and it scared me I can't bring myself to go back in and my coat is in there! So I would be rubbish even at those trials So I don't know how they can do it I have a lot of respect for them! |
It's all about mental strength

everyone is scared of heights, its what keeps us alive
You fear of insects and snakes was that passed onto you by your mother? |

My mum isn't scared of real spiders she is scared of plastic spiders as you can't kill them, I've never seen the logic in that |
humans are conditioned to be fearful of heights, snakes and insects as the ones who were survived and passed on their genes.
but when you are older you can obvs work out what ones will kill you and what wont and make logical decisions. this sadly wont stop Kate Garraway from over reacting i fear... |

Neither of my parents were scared of spiders so that's not a reason for me. |

To be fair it's probably my dad's fault as he once put a fake one under her salad she was eating so it will stem from that probs |
I couldn't do the eating trials underwater trails and spider trials

yes but often irrational fears are hard to understand from the person who has its persepctive - id imagine if we looked hard enough we may establish it linked with your mother but maybe not, hence its a majority that proves a rule and never 100% Whoever you spent most time with as an infant will be the donor, usually mums to date but obvs this is changing |
I’m scared of white socks tbf

People also ask
What causes the fear of spiders? Causes of Arachnophobia As with other phobias, arachnophobia can develop in a person because she sees the reaction to spiders of others with the phobia. For them, it's a learned response—it makes an impression when they see a family member shriek in terror and run out of the house at the very sight of a cobweb. source: interweb https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/b...afraid-spiders Again^^^if true this would have been imprinted on children by the primary carer (mum) and will take many many generations to evolve out |
nobody is particularly fearful of the odd cockroach, but when you have several thousand of them crawling in your ear hole, nasal cavity or other orifice its a different thing.
Also, no one is afraid of a placid snake, but if you are in the dark and it bites the **** out of you it's a different kettle of fish  You wouldnt catch me doing 95% of the trials :nono: |
I'm scared of spiders but in all honesty if you are motivated enough you could probably overcome anything.
So if I was starving and 9 other people were too I'd shove my head in a box full of them. |
I wouldn’t go anywhere near a spider on that show
|
I'm terrified of snakes and spiders, I'd refuse to do any trials involving them.

You need to have a word with the person who named it the cleaning cupboard pal.
