Uber has lost its License to Operate in London
Not good news
[Uber has been stripped of its London operating licence by the regulator in a major blow to the ride-hailing app. The firm's permit has not been renewed after "several breaches that placed passengers and their safety at risk" were identified, Transport for London said. The firm is almost certain to appeal the decision during which time it will be able to continue to operate.] https://news.sky.com/story/uber-stri...ondon-11869888 |
Didn’t this happen before? strange decision, if it’s that bad why are they still allowed to operate

Yes it did but Uber got a 15month Extension There is a Safety issue over Insurance |
Uber now has 21 days to appeal
against TfL's decision and can continue to operate during that period. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50544283 |

i would like to know a couple of things:
1) If the breaches are so bad that it means losing their license, why are similar steps not taken in other cities in the UK where it operates. 2) How many breaches have there been by black cabs and private hire firms |

14,000 illegal Uber photos (other Uber drivers) were uploaded to TFL. So London Based only. Making the Insurance Dangerous meaning in a accident no money help for the passenger. [Uber's use of secret software, called "Greyball", which could be used to block regulators from monitoring the app, was another factor, according to TfL.] |
The Boss of Uber
was on ITV1 London he said he gave the info of 43 drivers using other photos to TFL. And he claimed he has stopped this. Also the Boss of Uber was on BBC1 London he gave TFL the 43 driver fraud Data May of this year, so he is saying that Uber Fraud has been halted. |
