Common Phobias

Ok so i did a thread about pigeon phobia on IAC topic  , and just wondered which of these people fear and find scary ??

Kate! 27-11-2019 05:08 AM

Heights and creepy crawlies.

Mystic Mock 27-11-2019 07:05 AM

Heights, Claustrophobia, Creepy Crawlies, and Pediophobia (fear of Dolls) I honestly hate all four things.

LeatherTrumpet 27-11-2019 07:06 AM

i like all other successfully naturally selected humans on the earth am naturally wary of heights and unusual creepy crawlies

but i think you mean an irrational fear/overreaction so i have ticked none

Strictly Jake 27-11-2019 07:15 AM

All apart from pidgeons and clowns

That said Im ok with heights if im on a rollercoaster or something but if im stood on the edge of a cliff etc then its scary

Just the last 3. I'm definitely not afraid of pigeons and while I've never seen an actual clown in person, I doubt I'd be afraid of them too.

You just reminded me ,I forgot about dolls . But again I don't understand the fear unless it's creepy looking dolls .

But the porcelain dolls I don't get it :conf: .

None of the above.
However I have vertigo and it terrifies me when I see people on the telly near the edge of cliffs etc.
I know I would be compelled to jump:hehe:

GoldHeart 27-11-2019 05:03 PM

I'm surprised nobody picked clowns :joker: , I've never understood that fear .

I'd say mine are mostly creepy crawlies , claustrophobia & heights ones usually affect people even on London eye & in elevators/ lifts and I'm fine in those things  .

Heights, creepy crawlies (mainly spiders) and going underwater (I can’t swim).

Liam- 27-11-2019 06:19 PM

Clowns. spiders and bugs in general, especially flying ones, I’m also scared of lifts, I despise everything about them, they make me sweat

I was tempted to add under water as that would scare me as well

parmnion 27-11-2019 06:35 PM

I think claustrophobia would be my worst nightmare out of those.. but I'm not into pigeons flapping about with all the wing dust that causes..nor creepy crawlies..bit clowns. .how on earth can you be scared of clowns.

Josy 27-11-2019 07:41 PM

I'm terrified of spiders and wasps, not just a "omg I dont like spiders" etc it's a full on phobia to the point I have actually went into panic attacks, it weirdly gotten worse over the years.

King Gizzard 27-11-2019 07:43 PM

Spiders that are anything bigger than a 1p coin

King Gizzard 27-11-2019 07:51 PM

(I mean I wouldn’t baulk at it if it was near me I just wouldn’t go anywhere near it)

Kizzy 02-12-2019 12:42 AM

Bats ...:(

My Nan's Dolls used to stare at me as a kid.

I get it that my Nan positioned them a certain way, but it was creepy.

mizzy25 02-12-2019 07:58 AM

i was in one of the sheds at the weekend getting a staple gun and (sadly) i woke a huge black spider, she was very sleepy and cold so i was annoyed when I got the TL for a look she was horrified and wont now go into the shed so i had to keep going in and out when she wanted stuff (as we were doing the outside lights)

i made a nice cosy bit for her to stay in but i wanted to put her in the house but that was"not an option"
