Did they always separate the categories into Drama and Comedy/Musical or is that a new thing? Never noticed it before

I think it's been done quite a while. Sure both Moonlight and La La Land won GG awards before the Oscars face off.

ah ok, maybe something the Oscars could pick up so more films get recognised

Shocked De Niro wasn't nominated. I haven't watched The Irishman but he received a lot of praise for it. Weird that both Pacino and Pesci were nominated but not him.

Hope Joker sweeps.

Kate! 09-12-2019 04:56 PM

The Lion King

Amy Jade 09-12-2019 05:32 PM

Was hoping Timotheé Chalamet would get a nomination for Little Women.

LaLaLand 09-12-2019 08:25 PM

Get it Tarantino! :clap2:

He does tend to phone-in his stuff these days.

Some great noms here! I didn't love absolutely all of them but there aren't any that I don't think deserve their nom. I also can't think of anything missing that should have been nommed.

Good year!

I had no idea there was a Dolemite movie though :o

I found a movie with that dude in Cash Converters years ago. He's pretty damn funny. Had no idea he was well know.

Wouldn't be surprised with an Irishman/Marriage Story sweep though. As long as OUATIH and Joker get some good wins, I'm happy. :fc:
