What self care have you done today?

Did you exercise or practice mindfulness? Did you turn down junk food and have something nutritious? Did you have a bubble bath or pluck your unibrow? What are you doing to make life better for your future self?

I woke up very early and couldn't get back to sleep, I was in a slump. I decided to change my mood, I exfoliated my face with some nice smelling stuff and put on some fancy moisturiser. Usually I don't make the effort. I might be exhausted but my skin is glowing.

I hope this thread can inspire others to do something for themselves.

...you’re an inspiration, Jess....so a friend gave me a beauty products Advent Calendar...all of the days that I’ve opened so far, I’ve put away and haven’t used yet...but behind today’s door was some ‘perfectly perfecting wonder balm’...it’s a miracle leave-in hair balm to be exact...which helps give you moisture, shine, smoothness, definition, softness, light hold, high humidity protection and manageability...or the short version, it’s all you need for beautiful, healthy looking and flawless hair...inspired by you, Jess...I’ve applied a little ..(..to towel dried hair as directed...)...and (..I think I might have...)...moisture, shine, smoothness, definition, softness, light hold, high humidity protection and manageability in my hair...I’ll check it out more closely in a minute...thank you, Jess.....

Aww that sounds like a lovely little thing that you've done for yourself. What a great idea for an advent calendar too!

None of this is self care, please don't take the positivity out of the thread.

It is as if i had not done that she would ave dragged her bum on the carpet and i would have had a right job to clean it and i would have felt awful to see the sparrow constantly bash its wee head on the greenhouse window

im pretty sure you would not want that to happen

That's great, I hope your exercise went well!

I was planning to go for a brisk walk at the seaside today but that area is flooded because of heavy rain so it didn't work out. Got home and got into warm fluffy pyjamas instead. It's freezing cold!

It did! Honestly I wish I did what you did instead. I just spent an hour walking thinking it'd burn more calories than it actually did:(

The dog sh1ts are usually due to them eating the chocolate you thought was in a safe place :)
