lol yeah it was that jolly old far right who gave so many people the impression that Labour was going to win the election.

Twitter gives a voice to the far left, far right, trans activists, TERFs ... everyone! And until someone makes an active call to violence, of course they should be allowed a voice.

She should have just Blocked them all.

If it was having a negative effect on her mental health, then removing herself from that arena was the best thing tbh. That said, there are plenty of ways you can be on twitter without having to hear from people you don't want to.

Spoken like someone who has no grasp on how Twitter works, lol. The time taken to block thousands of people - some of whom would be hateful and determined enough to just create new accounts to target her with - is astronomical and not worth it.

a lot of these "celebs" fail to realise that if they give an opinion on any topic, others will have a different opinion, and will tell them so. Make a controversial statement then be prepared to take the heat.

Twitter is a pretty terrible arena to be discussing politics. There is misinformation and stuff taken out of context all the time, and on all sides.

Lily Allen is a supporter of one side, and famous for non-political reasons so she is probably a lightning rod that attracts comments from the other side.

Hope she starts singing again.

Oh well if that's what she wants to go , maybe she got fed up of blocking trolls and wading through baity rubbish.

It's good to take a break from social media when it gets out of hand , it seems Allen has her own issues & stuff to sort out anyway.

I don't know why people can't debate a topic with someone without insulting them? Lily Allen shouldn't be feeling harassed because she gave an opinion on Brexit.

I don't know her stance on the subject, but I'm sure that she didn't say anything so bad to make her feel that she needs to get off the site.

She basically accused everyone that voted tory of being racist, so that was never going to end well

....in often reading the comments that celebrities get in social media...I’m surprised that any of them use it...Lily has so many ‘far right comments voiced at her’...and that’s a huge part of her experiences, I would have thought...

She is doing this for attention yes? by all means delete your account but we really don't need to know you have deleted it
