USA: President Trump , The Senate : Trump Acquitted Of Impeachment Charges

The Numbers on the votes are enough to Impeach Trump
but that is all as at the Senate
he has enough votes to not remove him.

Bless the Dems. All they had to do to be in with a chance was not publicly soil themselves, but here they are... Dragging out a pointless spectacle which isn't gonna go anywhere...

This'll be historical if it comes true :joker:

It's all a bit Gina Miller

And where is that hag now?

Liam- 18-12-2019 04:56 PM

There’s no way he’ll be convicted in the senate, too many Trump cultists for that to happen, but impeachment will be a stain on his presidency he’ll never live down, I’m loving his melt down right now

That "hag" fought against the executive overriding the legislature, a key principle in parliamentary democracy.
But you go off.
SNP would never :hehe:

It's worth it. To show how pathetic the Republicans have become defending the orange abomination. Rule of law, Ollie.

Very True
Wise Liam.

I think it's more pathetic trying to get him removed from office when they know they have a snowman in hell's chance of succeeding. You don't start a war you know you can't win, and all this does is make it look like the Dems know they can't win against him "fairly"

That’s not to say he doesn’t deserve to be removed, it’s just a damning reflection of the Republicans refusal to follow the constitution, Donnie could curb stomp someone to death in the Oval Office and they still wouldn’t vote to remove him from office, they have no respect for the law or the constitution that built America and that’s what they’ll be remembered for, turning their backs on the country in favour of a national security risk.

Yeah it’s all a bit pointless because he won’t be removed, but personally I think they’re playing it clever, they know he won’t be removed when he probably should be, so by rightfully impeaching him, that allows the majority of voters, the 54% of Americans who believe he should be impeached and removed, the chance to see what the Republicans stand for, people who happily impeach over a lie about a blowjob in the Oval Office, but stand by a risk to their security and attack their intelligence services, it shows the people what everyone’s about and how they play fast and lose with the constitution

You misunderstand. They know that in a standard presidential e!ection, they have no chance of winning against him. So they want to use any means they can to get him out the way.

The claims being made against him are shaky at best, completely unfounded at worst. I'm not against people facing the law, but only when the actual law is being implemented for actual crimes.

Donald will deflect the blows with his enormous testicles...no sweat.

Really? Trumps admitted to it, Mulvaneys admitted to it, Guilianis admitted to it, Sondlands admitted to it, Trump wont let any of his top aides testify and has blocked the release of relevant documents and you call that shaky?

Tom4784 18-12-2019 07:16 PM

What he did was quid pro quo and a lot of the members above that are pretending otherwise would have been screaming for Obama's head if he did even a little bit of what Trump has done over the years.

Take your politics out of it, this is a question of morality. many witnesses have spoken out against him, many independent professors of the constitution have stated that what Trump has done justifies impeachment. Just look at all the people around Trump that have been arrested and convicted of crimes committed in Trump's service. Look at the fact that Trump defrauded his charity for his own benefit. He is a crook, and if you're spinning things for him that this is unjustified or ridiculous then you can't see the forest for the trees.

He will be impeached and the Republicans who voted to convict Clinton for a blowjob will vote to acquit Trump regardless of the evidence, Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham have both basically said they'll work with the president to ensure an acquital. That is like the jury making a deal with the defendant.

The republicans and the right in general are showing themselves to be completely corrupt and devoid of morals in matters regarding Trump since it's all okay as long as it's their guy that's being accused. They'll just look the other way. Trump won't be removed from office but his presidency will be stained and hopefully, so will the republicans when they make their corruption clear by acquitting a guilty man.
