He will be well looked after, you have to be careful when you get to that grand age.

Any old man is just sitting at night puffing on a pipe for the past 40-50 years, this old man has travelled the world promoting our fine fine united kingdom name.

Fair enough, they have certainly deserved to puff on as many pipes as they want after working away all thier luves. .but this old man has given up his time the same way William and harry wives have done....will you dismiss them if you are still around, and also they are still around...cause most would walk...

He didn't, and that in itself deserves high acclaim...he done the test if time..yet you disregard his health with a flick if the hand..but purr like a contented cat at harry wife who has done....how long?

He has been an important figurehead for the UK internationally, supported the Queen admirably and been extremely hard working his whole lifetime. Maybe you should educate yourself on just how hard...
Additionally, his Duke of Edinburgh Awards have benefited and given direction to thousands upon thousands of young people...and that is just one charity of dozens he has been invovled with.

Some lefties apparently have no sympathy for illness if the person lives in a palace and has loadsa money. It means they don't suffer or feel pain like those on a budget. Not really human in fact....

I see him as being like Major Gowen from Fawlty Towers - we laugh AT him, not with him.

Oh get off your soapbox he's been pampered literally to within an inch of his life, those awards bear his title only he has no input at all.
I see you've taken to the generalisation 'lefty' to describe me, are 'lefties' human?....

I have sympathy for the man obviously and his wife, but he is 98... it had to happen eventually it's no great surprise. That was my intention with my comment.

arista 21-12-2019 05:40 AM

He walked into the Hospital
so was driven there.

Why even make it Front Page?
they are not telling us anything.

The Queen went on a Train
up north for her normal Holiday.

So as she does not need to be with him
as its a normal check up and stay.
keep it out of our media.

I hope not.

But you are right, we normally do start to hear of a lot of Celebs passing away at this time of year.
