Hmm. A countryside reality sometimes sadly is pest control, especially if you keep chickens. The netting should have been either strong enough so the fox couldn't have gotten through enough to be tangled, or he should have things in place so he doesn't have to be so brutal.

Are you surprised?

I bet not one illegal hunt that took place yesterday gets shut down either, or anyone prosecuted for it..there are a lot of videos circulating atm regarding illigal activities.

But I know nothing will happen...but here's a funny story..the police tell you not to drink and drive so people travelling and leave thier cars parked overnight...well I know of at least 8 people finding tickets on thier cars yesterday...yesterday ffs..

But as long as the fox can still be ripped to shreds or beaten against a car window it seems fine...

Welcome to bonnie scotland.

He was obviously proud...hence the tweet, who has a baseball bat handy, he has probably done it before, he could have just released the fox and used the bat to batter in some proper fencing

Cal. 27-12-2019 10:41 AM

****ing prick

Amy Jade 27-12-2019 11:09 AM

It was stuck in fencing so no real threat, so instead of contacting the RSPCA who would have removed the fox and relocated it he thought the best thing to do is to smash it's head in? The bloke is a moron for proudly announcing it on twitter.

I really do not understand those defending him online, people who defend anyone who smashes a trapped animal with a bat is sick in the head.

So hang on a sec? He cruelly batters a fox to death, boasts about it on Twitter and this guy is supposed to be a lawyer? What an absolute prick of a human being, no empathy whatsoever.

Drunk Lawyer

If I didn't know the story, I would have taken the tweet as reading like 'I've had a **** morning, had to kill a fox, how's your boxing day?' but if the fox was trapped and wasn't a threat to his animals then what he did was animal cruelty plain and simple.

Worried about his panicking Chickens

I don't condone what he's done whatsoever, I have to say the hipocrisy of the mail and it's faux concern for the wellbeing of foxes however is revolting!!

What does Brexit have to do with this :joker: :joker:. Obsessed. Sorry Daily Mail, no one is interested in Brexit either way any more (Tory majority, Brexit is happening, whatever, no one wants to hear about it guys bye) and you're going to have to find a new cash cow to sell your hate rag.

Honestly.

A story about the senseless killing of a poor wild animal.

Headline: BREXIT LAWYERRR BUBUBUHHHHH. Haaa.

They can't do that. Who would they blame if not the EU? They need the EU

user104658 27-12-2019 07:53 PM

We can play a fun game of "who is more morally bankrupt"

Option 1) Lawyers who kill animals with baseball bats

Option 2) Daily Mail journalists.

A conundrum.

Kizzy 28-12-2019 09:31 AM

Are we forgetting that there's a 'sport' where people dress up all a fancy and chase foxes on horses to watch them being ripped to shreds by dogs?...
Why does this never make the papers, and the people involved exposed. What is the position of the RSPCA on this issue?

Look at the authorised culling of badgers and wild birds in the uk in the name of 'public safety'.

It's impossible to maintain perspective with a media ambush, on one hand you have a guy who yes disposed of a fox who he found attempting to eat his chickens. On the other you have state sponsored murder of 1000s of animals and birds because their presence may or may not pose a threat at some point to someone.

:/
