Tom Jones can get potential coaches BANNED from joining The Voice UK

Every time they change the coaches, they get Tom to review their decision and accept or decline the new addition(s).

You clearly have not seen how great a mentor she is

Headie 31-12-2019 10:46 AM

ITV’s obsession with Tom is a bit much. He’s been barely relevant for years and if they have any chance of giving this show any success in the real world then they need to start getting coaches who have experience in the current music industry. Tom may be a legend but he has no chance of giving an artist any experience or help in the current industry.

Meghan mostly but to an extent Olly and Will are the only ones with any experience or understanding of the current market but the whole show needs an overhaul if it stands any chance of finding a star.

They need to get coaches from different genres of music, with modern day industry knowledge and most importantly industry contacts. Trying to create a star with 4 irrelevant coaches just isn’t going to happen.

The show should not be about the judges and as X Factor proved years back with the early years that you dont need relevant people to create success

The Four - in which she was a judge and there was limited mentoring if any.

Wasn't she on the 4 or something and had a tantrum when her favourite was eliminated? So unprofessional.

There was actually a fair bit most of it offscreen and everyone on the show praised how good she was

The reason X Factor created stars in the early years with Louis, Sharon and Simon is because people were watching the show and they were invested in the next big star.

People aren’t watching these shows anymore, so they need relevant coaches to boost the contestants in their careers.

The other thing they need is coaches that can be arsed to keep up with their acts following the series and are looking to mentor someone to success rather than get their ITV pay cheque and disappear until next series.

So if it was offscreen, how are we supposed to know how good of a mentor she is?

When the Voice first started 3 of the 4 coaches were very relevant in the charts yet still couldn't create a star

Meghan knew the voters decided who got through and having a wobbler when it doesn't go your way and telling the poor girl who just won a battle that the vote wasn't fair is rude, iirc Diddy tore the irrelevant bitch a new one so it's all good hahaha

Sir Tom Jones can do what he likes, not his fault he’s a living legend

Gstar 31-12-2019 11:36 AM

Less of the Tom slander! He’s an absolutely brilliant mentor and judge, the best I’ve seen on any UK singing show. It’s not about his age or relevance, his expertise and technicalities can be a huge help to any artist regardless of the genre
