I usually only have hot drinks in mugs but sometimes I'll have a cold Nesquick, it's good to have a handle for stirring and stuff. I am partial to eating cereal out of a mug though.

I always use my aluminium bottle for water and rarely drink any other cold drinks which I wouldn't use a mug for, only drink out of a glass if I'm at someone else's house, really.

Livia 05-01-2020 12:59 PM

Mugs are for hot drinks.

Marsh. 05-01-2020 01:01 PM

Only a mug does that.

Marsh. 05-01-2020 01:02 PM

What about people who just swill the mug between uses leaving a thick dark stain all round the inside? :yuk:

Ant. 05-01-2020 01:05 PM

look if it's the nearest ****ing container you can bet you are ass that i'm filling my mug to the brim with water from the bathroom tap. im not waking up parched at 3am to walk all the down and upstairs so i can get a glass. sometimes the mug is the only answer

Marsh. 05-01-2020 01:05 PM

Not the bathroom tap. :worry:

That is absolutely disgusting. If I'm reusing a mug I still give it a quick scrub with the dishmatic before making my next drink.

Yes the TL's girl dog sometimes leaves the kitchen looking like there has been a speedway meet going on all night

I go up stairs and announce "there has been a poonami"

Aww bless her, they don't know what's good for them sometimes!

Jake. 05-01-2020 01:19 PM

I’d have milk from a mug but that’s about it

I was literally the only person at work who properly washed the mugs... I can only imagine the ****ing chaos in that staff room now that I'm not there.

Beso 05-01-2020 01:39 PM

Ah...I forgot where I left my teeth...cheers.

mugs or cups hot drinks

glasses for cold drinks

do NOT drink from the bathroom tap Ant :nono:

Nicky91 05-01-2020 01:54 PM

as for cold drinks from mugs, i only have yoghurtdrink, milk in those

but lemonade, soft drinks (lemonade without sparkles) i drink in glasses of course

Toy Soldier 05-01-2020 01:55 PM

"Not drinking from the bathroom tap" only applies to systems where the bathroom cold water supply comes from a tank... vast majority of modern cold water supplies in the bathroom come from the mains supply directly. In other words... it's the exact same water you'd have gotten from your kitchen tap, it just went through a couple of extra metres of pipe to get to you.

Calderyon 05-01-2020 02:20 PM

Mugs and cups are mainly for hit drinks while glasses are mainly for cold.
