Yes that ads failed.
Sales not improved

If they'd worked harder, John Lewis would have done better and they would have got their bonus! That's how capitalism works and don't you namby-pamby-lefty-Corbyny-socialists be trying to tell me any different.

Same picture in a load of the shops.
Food sales up, everything else down.
Maybe, hopefully, we have woken up to what all this over consumerism is doing to the planet.

Or we're all fat bastards who are increasingly comforting ourselves with delicious snax and Netflix binges instead of retail therapy :joker:. It's why pubs/bars are doing worse year-on-year as well.

Aye.
Plus we all like a few extras in the cupboard over Christmas.
Now if only they would put a ban on all those plastic tubs the chocs come in.:fist:

To be fair, I never buy anything really . Food obviously, clothes when I need them, games when one I want comes out & tech upgrades when needed which is maybe one larger spend a year.

Though the number of completed "free coffee" cards in the car suggests I must spend about £500 a month on McDonalds flat whites
