Meghan would never have gotten the hate she's gotten if it wasn't for her race. I don't blame them for wanting out of a toxic news cycle that holds blame for Diana's death, the UK media is utter trash.

What does that have to do with the UK media or Canada?

Canada is incomparable to the US given that it's a liberal country of liberal values. Racism is everywhere but they are less likely to encounter the same vitiriol there then in the US or UK.

What makes people think anyone had a problem with her race? I always got the impression it was more about her being a divorced American actress who was always flouting tradition?

I think some people probably do have an issue with her race - however I do personally think that in Meghan's case, it's mostly about her being American. Nor enough of an "English Rose". Not enough like Kate. Not "good blood". It's still xenophobia though - whether it's about her ethnicity or her nationality.

This tbh, I don't know why the race card is being rolled out so much.

i remember when Fergie appeared on the scene ... a white, british girl of good breeding stock. The press were relentless in criticising her for her looks, her weight and her behaviour. It's what the press do. I even remember pictures they took of Diana saying how fat she was (someone they knew had an eating disorder) Meghan has not had it worse

When the palace had to put out official statements condemning the racism she was receiving, I find it hard to imagine how people can deny any racism being involved in the ‘criticism’ of her

So you acknowledge that she was criticised by people with racism at the centre of it then? Glad we got that cleared up

Its not a competition on who is right and who is wrong , some people like her , others don't,some people will racist but I really don't think that is why the press go after her, I think it's a number of things other than race. I don't why it has to be focused on all the time , not everyone is racist that don't like her.
