I'll push someone off... they will die': Tate gallery attacker Jonty Bravery

[Shocking recording of the Autistic Teenager
vowing to ‘push somebody off’ a
tall building – almost a year before
Bravery hurled the French boy from
the London landmark’s 100ft viewing balcony,
nearly killing him.]

[Bravery said he would kill so he could go to prison
and get out of council care;
At the time of the attack, he was on bail after a
previous arrest on suspicion of multiple assaults;
Stockily-built Bravery’s carers were
instructed to ‘never say no him’;
One of them claims: ‘This was a tragedy waiting to happen.’]

This Audio Recording was played
on GMBHD itv
3 to debate it, but Ian Dale removed his Mic
and Left after not being allowed to speak
saying its not all about cuts to the Carers in charge
of him.

One did record what Bravery said
but the Health Authority
are yet to speak of it.

The rest of the recording suggested he did it because his ipad had been removed, the whistle-blower was right to record and yes something should have been done, not sure what however.. Teenagers especially severely autistic teenagers make threats, they rarely act them out. His tone is not one that would make me feel he intended to carry out his plan.

Look at the lad who wrote of killing in a journal but didn't actually kill anyone though, he went to prison so :/

As a support worker myself, this story is so shocking. Yes, he has autism but he fully understood what he was doing and what the implications would be. However, if it was true that he had told his carers about it beforehand, then the service providing his care are just as much to blame for it.

Babayaro. 07-02-2020 11:45 AM

Oh nevermind, I only just saw that the recording is there.

Jesus christ, that recording says it all. The poor family need to sue the company for all they've got!

The Problem is
that phone recording
was ignored or did not go high
enough to the right person.

If an autistic teen made a statement like that to you what is the safeguarding procedure?

Kizzy 07-02-2020 12:20 PM

Just watched the Ian Dale interview... not a fan of the truth is he?

I would report it to a senior/service manager. And then from there it would be up to them to assess the situation. After them, it would then be reported to social work and/or the police.

I just don't know how someone either failed to report it, or if it was indeed reported, then how the service itself did not act upon it.

Yes but these workers were told he can get
Violent, after being sectioned before this.
So those higher up knew he could be trouble
maybe the next level up took that message
and never went further.

As him going out into Central London
would normally have a Carer with him?
Due to his angry state of mind.

This was not a school playground, iT was a politial discussion if he had allowed her to complete her point without interjection he could have replied...
He was as said in a fit of pique, he was sandwiched between two knowledgable people and he couldn't respond adequately.

Nah, he just did the typical right wing thing of running away and pretending to be a victim when confronted with the truth. He's a pathetic overgrown child and his attitude in the face of this story is utterly repugnant.

Do you know why?.. Because she knows what she's talking about.

LBC Radio Presenter
walks off - fed up with Grace

Kizzy 08-02-2020 07:07 PM

He wasn't saying anything of any merit, if he were I'd agree.. all you get is ' that's ridiculous' or ' utter utter rubbish'! Academics you would have thought would have expected a debate to have more substance.

bots 08-02-2020 07:26 PM

the only statement he was permitted to get out was that it doesn't require money to report an issue, and to my mind his is correct. The other 2 just wanted to make a political point, without sensitivity to the issue. I would have walked out from a situation like that to

Kizzy 08-02-2020 09:42 PM

Yes that was fine, the point the other guests made is what happens then?...
