LT Wine Box drama!
 

SO i bought my regular Wine Box at Tesco Yesterday, £14.07 Chardonnay

As i opened it - first you puncture the cardboard,
fish inside to find nozzle and then you pull off a
wee red seal on the nozzle and then you fix the
nozzle on the edge of the hole and bend the cardboard back to hold it

BUT WAIT

as i pulled off the wee red seal the WHOLE NOZZLE
come off and the wine started pumping out into
the box, it was coming out both corners of the box.
Using my Boy Scout cunning i got 2 saucepans and
placed on that whilst i managed to get the nozzle back in.

By this stage about 1/3 was all over the kitchen counter and floor :oh:

and the box was soggy.

Anyroad today, i filled my 2 huge wine glasses with the wine and put them in
the fridge, leaving a wee drop in the box and retrned to Tesco and told them
what occurrd and they replaced it free of charge.


SO in true King Mike21 fashion I am up 2/3 of a box of wine. :hee:

That is not really cheating the system though, sounds like the packaging was faulty, you deserved a replacement even if you managed to save quite a bit of the wine.

Lol...we all know you sooked every last drop up of the kitchen floor.

Look you buy your wine from Tesco every week so in the long run Tesco are the winners.

Add to the mess on the counter and the trip back to the shop, wasn’t that great a saving.

I went back today anyway to get cardboard :hmph:

which i get FREE

You keep buying wine you will be living in cardboard.

I buy the boxes for 2 reasons, 1. i can use the box for packing and 2. i dont have to go down to the dump with the bottle

Its a win win

Plus wine is a fruit so its part of my 5 a day
