For the first time in over ten years, I've finally gotten back into creative writing, it feels so good to finally getting around to it, as I've missed this outlet for a long time!

What's it about?

Wynd? How is that pronounced? As in "blowing wind?" Or is it "wind your neck in?"

It's the first part of a series of stories set in the world that I'm planning, basically it's a mix of magic, technology and mythology. It's Wynd as in blowing wind, certain words in that world use y instead of i :laugh:

Thank you, I did have a previous cover, but it didn't fit the tone right, or... look all that good :laugh: (The artwork is nice enough, but the cover didn't feel punchy enough lol)

How it went, cause I've spent a lot of money on **** books.


But the cover and plot sound a very intriguing, but again, I've been there before.


So why the massive gap?

My last 'attempt' was basically me writing from my childhood to my teen years, I used to have a folder full of different stories I wrote and all that stuff, but then one day I just stopped. I did try writing a new one quite recently but I didn't like how it developed so I stopped shortly after I began

With this one, it feels as if I had a thousand ideas already, and I have put in work to behind the scenes stuff, such as world building details that aren't quite revealed yet, I also have the ending of this specific 'book' already in mind, with ideas of what the second might be about.

With this story I'm slowly going to reveal more about the world as time goes on, with several key characters in different locations, each with their own objectives and agenda. Also, I don't really plan to have any big romance elements as romantic writing isn't really my strong suit :laugh:

I am thinking about moving away from Wattpad after someone who reads my stuff told me the site forces you to join after a certain point, and interrupts with big ads like this

I want my story to be free to read for all, I'm doing this all for the enjoyment more than anything else :D

Scarlett that is such a nice and humble gesture to make this offering free for all.

Im not sure I agree with that gesture though, because to me, it sounds defeatist. And one that could be used against a person if the book does that well that money must be paid to the author.

I suppose that's true, though if it did really well that could be done with latter 'books'

I used to do what you did in my early teens, write and stick it in a folder. I have 3 horror stories and countless spin offs from movies and tv shows :laugh:

Hmm,

There is Roisin Luna, who is the main protagonist, she's a new student at Wynd Academy, she has great potential and intends to unlock it, though she can be quick to lose her temper

The main villian is named Lumina, she attacks with pure crystals of light, which can bend anyone to her will, the will of light.

The story is still in its early days, so while I do have ideas of the characters and their directions, I don't want to give too much away :D

I used to do lots of stuff like that! I loved doing spin off sorta stuff :laugh:
