This isn't an attack on you Kate because it's something that all major news outlets are doing, but I find it really sad that veteran actors like him are now just being written off as "Game of Thrones actor" for the smallest of blink-and-you'll-miss-it roles, and their long careers (he was the bloody priest in the Exorcist!) are just ignored for the headline.

It happened with Peter Vaughan (best known for Porridge and Citizen Smith, but just "Game of Thrones actor Peter Vaughan")... and the same will probably happen with Charles Dance, James Cosmo, Diana Rigg and Jonathan Pryce.

I love Peter Vaughan. Superb as Grouty and even better as Shirley's dad in Citizen Smith.

Tbf they always use their most famous recent work. Most people will recognise him for that role currently. You can't exactly fit a CV in a headline.

When Orson Welles died the headline in a tabloid newspaper was 'Sherry Man Dies' on account of the sherry adverts he appeared in towards the end of his career.
