Lol they don’t care about people’s safety it’s cause they think the films will bomb

To be fair though, with the budget some of these films are made on it doesn't even have to bomb... Just performing a significant margin under predictions can kill a studio/franchise these days, and take hundreds (sometimes thousands) of jobs with it.

People are quick to downplay economic damage as if "it doesn't matter" in terms of tackling Covid but the uncomfortable fact is, it's a balancing act. Major economic damage WILL cost lives.

Mulan has been postponed too

James 12-03-2020 09:26 PM

Rise of the Planet of the Apes end scene.

Smithy 12-03-2020 09:27 PM

X-Men: New Mutants has been delayed (again)

Smithy 12-03-2020 09:36 PM

Should change the title to hourly the way things are going

Switched that sh*t off as soon as Gwyneth Paltrow's head was split open. :yuk: I almost passed out.

Surely everyone already has Netflix?

Disney will be creaming their pants at the idea of all of the schools being closed just as they're releasing Disney+ though. Someone should search Disneyworld for a secret virus lab :suspect:. I genuinely think it will generate a HUGE boost in sign-ups.

Oliver_W 13-03-2020 11:46 AM

Mulan and New Mutants are both probably gonna bomb anyway, may as well dump them on streaming...

Smithy 13-03-2020 12:36 PM

The Secret Garden has been pushed back too

James 13-03-2020 01:27 PM

I'm learning about films I didn't even know were due to be released.

Smithy 13-03-2020 01:31 PM

Mulan was slated for the biggest opening so far this year before it was delayed, it'll probably still do the business wherever they put it (end of the year, I think).

I would not be surprised if New Mutants goes straight to streaming though, that film seems to be an albatross for Disney.

And it’s a disney film, disney films do great at the box office and all live action ones have all been a success.
