Lion King would have been a lot better if they just gave new visuals to the original soundtrack, none of the songs or performances in general in the remake are as good as the original.

I didn't know they were doing a Secret Garden, I loved the old movie when I was wee.

So, basically we're going to get a **** tonne of new movies all being pushed back to the last quarter of the year? :joker: That will affect their box office takings anyway.

Smithy 14-03-2020 09:27 AM

Production has now stopped on the new Jurassic World

I'm just glad that it's unlikely to affect games releases, because you can even get it digitally and never even have to encounter another living human. Ahhh. Gamers; keeping entertainment virus-free since [whenever it was that digital downloads overtook physical sales]. I think it's only something like 20% of sales that are physical disks now. 18% is Sullen Girl.

Hmmmm it's a different issue with TV though; they air as they film (or soon after) so while films are being pushed back due to box office concerns, TV shows could end up delayed if production is affected.

Well if a tv show gets delayed I’ll change the title :idc:

No, Arista will make a new thread with a better title and this one will die of Covid.

I did read earlier that games like Last of Us 2 could be affected and that the launch of the PS5 will likely be delayed into 2021 but I imagine there's not much that could realistically delay the likes of Resident Evil 3 or VII Part 1 at this point.

montblanc 16-03-2020 02:50 AM

Euphoria's been delayed too

Smithy 17-03-2020 01:58 PM

Antlers has been delayed
Production on the Avatar sequels has been paused as well

Tom4784 17-03-2020 02:00 PM

Universal's bringing a bunch of films to streaming early as well as potentially releasing some films straight to streaming instead of in cinemas (think it's just the Trolls film for the moment)/

Smithy 17-03-2020 02:01 PM

Invisible man too!
