It's touted to be a deep dive on the console itself as well as a look at some of the games, I wonder if they'll announce the rumoured licensing of those Konami franchises?

Yeah, same, especially considering that (I think) Sony have announced plans to support the PS4 for quite a while after PS5's release.

I didn't get one when it came out but my good mate's birthday fell on the day before I believe so his parents got him and gave it him like midnight which counts as his birthday, logic. He came to school so excited and invited a lucky few of us around after to have goes on the original Crash Bandicoot! We were blown away! :hee:

EDIT: this was the "PS One" that came out in 2000 btw. We were 9/10 years old. Good times!

This is real boring, I don't know why they decided to go for this approach. It's a reveal aimed at industry types, not a typical audience that are currently tuning in.

I think this was actually meant for the Game Dev conference and isn't actually a reveal despite what news outlets said

I'll just add this in, with regard to backwards compatibility, if it is going to get PS1-3 BC too, this would be done via emulation, which is software, and not the focus of this talk
