Idc about this season if there’s no Novympia on the cast

Has anyone seen any updates about this, it’s been 3 months, you’d have thought they’d have come up with a way to continue filming this

I would think the main issue is the judges getting into The UK

Last I heard was that they were hoping to resume filming in November in time for an early 2021 air date, but whether that will actually happen or not I have no idea

Not really, they come here, isolate for two weeks and then continue filming

They should just have Alan/Graham for the rest of the season with no guest judges, if all of them are isolating in theory there shouldn’t be a problem

Ah ok

Gonna look so weird watching knowing it’ll have been 9 months or so between episodes :joker:

I hope they all come in one day with full beards/completely different hairstyles/extreme body modifications and absolutely none of it is explained

UserSince2005 10-07-2020 11:13 AM

What if one of the remaining queens had died from corona in the meantime? will ru give an eliminate queen a second chance?

Captain.Remy 10-07-2020 11:13 AM

But like are there any flights from the US landing in the UK right now?
Because they can stay in quarantine for a bit, but if there's no flight then it's done for now.

And I suppose Ru would try to speed things up so he can film S13 and AS6.

Yeah there are flights atm, but if you arrive here you have to self isolate for 14 days

I don’t see S13 or AS6 (the latter of which I don’t even think is happening) filming until next year now, which is probably a good thing, 3/4 seasons a year is too much

I’d imagine the series would be canned. When Mike Thalassitis passed away between the filming and transmission of Ex on the Beach, they just never aired the season and filmed a new one instead.

If they’d have just spread out 12, AS5, Celeb Drag Race and Canada’s Drag Race they’d have had more than enough to keep them going for 2020/21 lmao

I think it would be respectful to a queen to air it considering its effectively a talent show and you are showing the dead queens work.

Its different to someone committing suicide and then a channel airing them fighting and ****ing on tv a month later.

I thought it was only intra-european flights and US people were banned.

Anyway, had they spread out S12, AS5, Canada, Celebrity Drag Race we wouldn't be there without a show for months :joker:

UserSince2005 10-07-2020 02:38 PM

We could do with a few months off to be fair.

And anyway if they really want to get the show back on air then they can turn the post production period around much fast than they currently do.

Whats happening with Australia Drag Race anyway?

MB. 10-07-2020 02:43 PM

There's been no word in regard to Drag Race Australia for about a year afaik (it certainly hasn't been cast or filmed), although some producer said that there were currently seven international Drag Race spin-offs in the works so people are assuming Australia is one of them

Samm 10-07-2020 02:43 PM

It’s a shame the UK one has been affected. If anything it’s the USA version that needed a rest

Firewire 10-07-2020 03:35 PM

As far as I know they filmed 3 eps before covid

They filmed four eps, yeah (which I think, in terms of Drag Race's schedule, is just over a week of filming?)

Josiah. 10-07-2020 04:11 PM

Yes, and if I remember correctly from one of the bonus clips from S7 untucked, they at least get breaks from filming on the weekends.

As far as I know the UK series film an ep over 2 days (3 eps per week with one day off).

Firewire 18-08-2020 10:37 AM

I believe they are back filming late October into November

Not really  most shows have already started. There's a thing called quarantine which the drag queens and production will have to do before filming until they are eliminated/finished. Strictly is doing it, Im a celeb is doing it, BBUS have done it.

yes, however in case of positive tests it can be delayed a bit

with our current series of the voice senior, the ''semi live'' final the recorded part of that has been delayed because of 2 crew members who had been tested positive for covid-19

so now filming has been halted and the premiere date also been moved

that's why you have to quarantine for two weeks before starting and since they don't deal with the public, it's safe

there is a form of audience here, but just done differently, more distance between each other, and mostly in sort of seating areas, like families can sit next to each other, but not random strangers

also at german live tv shows, also reduced number of audience, but the ''no audience'' is just too boring so we learn to adapt around these whole measures for now
