Boycott Britannia Hotels
They fired staff and evicted live in staff on the spot

Indeed. After it went viral they got panned down to o1ne-star on every ratings site but they've already had all of the "false" reviews removed. They essentially used "government advice" to sack people by making out that that the hotel might be "needed". It will absolutely NOT be needed for overflow care in ****ing Aviemore - it's in the middle of nowhere! :idc:.

Won't be going there to fix any tvs if asked..that is a promise.

Yes well everyone is totally disgusted by this company's behaviour , just dumping people like trash , i hope they go bankrupt as they get no government help ~ that would be a good Karma.

Yes that was unwise
What was announced last night could have saved those workers. |
Disgusting behaviour. I won't use them
|
Well that's one business I won't be rooting for to recover from this disaster Economically.

There was a private pharmacy on the news who were selling Calpol at 10.00 a pop and Paracetomol for 6.00, :skull: expect his customers to desert him in six months time

The Highland hotel that attracted widespread condemnation on Friday after it sacked staff and made them homeless during the coronavirus outbreak has apologised and excused their heartless actions as “an administrative error”.
The Guardian reported yesterday that more than a dozen workers at the Coylumbridge hotel near Aviemore received a letter on Thursday informing them management was “taking the latest government advice” and that staff employment had been terminated, with those who live at the hotel complex asked to leave the premises immediately. But the Britannia Hotels group, which owns the hotel, did not respond to requests from the Guardian for comment, but later told theLiverpool Echo:”Unfortunately, the communication sent to these employees was an administrative error. All affected employees are being immediately contacted. We apologise for any upset caused.” Administrative error my arse. Back pedalling hard now |
So long as they get there jobs
and accommodation back |
"Administrative error" in the sense that it was sent out by lower-level management at that specific hotel, and the hotel group will have gone absolutely ham about the level of bad publicity. I doubt the guy who authorised the action will be working with them for much longer.
|
yeah, they aren't fooling anyone with the administration error, in fact, it makes it worse because they are trying to make excuses

I think that he is struggling to handle juggling the Party, Media, and the general public at the same time though as I think that we're asking for him to do different things that all end up contradicting each other. |
We should set up a TiBB Sh1t List for all the companies who have treated people appallingly during this time. Chucking people out of their job and their home on the same day, during such a worrying time, is despicable.

Hotels all over the country are laying staff off.
Unfortunate risk of the job, especially those that cater more for the holiday maker. |
