This is quite sad I liked some of his music but he was a good age.

Country and western legend.

I didn't realise he didn't actually start as a C&W singer he did folk and different genres, but it was country that brought him his fame.:wavey:

end of an era ... i remember watching him as a kid and thinking he was old then ... so he must have been about 140 when he died :laugh:

A legend of the genre. Can't say I'm too familiar with his work, sadly.

:laugh: think he was 81 bots, a good innings but yes he always had that older look about him
