Positive side of this crisis?

I know its all really awful. I dont need to go onto the negatives on this thread we already know

But is anyone seeing some positive sides to the crisis?

Despite my kids driving me mad sometimes im getting to spend more time with them, Im getting 12 weeks off work paid, the weather is gorgeous so the isolation is giving us time to enjoy it. I have a baby coming in the next week or so(not great timing to be fair) so I will get to spend extra time with him too

Also it will help us to see how strong we are as individuals and a community, we will get through it and we will have learnt a lot from it

As I say its not good at all but it might help to see some positive sides what are yours?

The crisis has done wonders for the environment, pollution levels are down across the board.

Yes well she is very vulnerable, hope she tucked up safely at home ~ and she stays there for the foreseeable future.

Seeing peoples true nature.

What I mean by that is who are the caring, smart, and just use common sense about the situation. And then there have been the people who have been stupid, and have shown no regard for Human life by ignoring all advice about the Coronavirus, and the latter group are people that I'll never want to associate with once this disease is dealt with as anyone can pretend to be nice when everything appears to be okay.

I hope when it’s all over employers see the benefits of people working from home where possible even if it is just one or two days a week, less strain on transport networks etc

I think there will be a massive reform on capitalism, prioritising social and health services world wide. This is the wake up call

On a personal level...I get to eat all the kids Easter eggs now.

That hopefully many will realise that money cant buy everything..
And that the NHS can never be allowed to be privatised.

I actually hope this is the end result. We've seen how quickly the most insulated and selfish of people have quickly become desperate when they realised they were actually also now vulnerable, and have called for socialist intervention.

I do however fear, that it will be used as an excuse to pile more auseity back on to the people.

Ironically (considering social distancing) I think it has been amazing for human connection? People have become family/community spirited in ways I haven't really seen in my lifetime.

Its also shown just how quickly we could clean the world up if we were actually serious about it. Whales on migratory routes they haven't used for decades (because of industrial shipping), fish and even dolphins in the Venice canals... It's eye opening.

I've been feeding the foxes out on the street as they will probably starve without the litter bugs dropping food everywhere.
I watch out of window and they share with cats which amazed me !

They can eat all the stale food that will inevitably be left in people's bins.
