Love this show! Been binging it while in isolation, this week has DRAGGED because I've been looking forward to it returning

Was such a good episode last night. Hope they do a series 7. One of the funniest shows ever!!! **** ON IT.

Oliver_W 02-05-2020 02:50 PM

It was really good, yeah. It felt like a last episode though?

Was anyone else expecting the rug to be pulled from under their feet? "I'm pregnant, it's not yours" ? "I'm not really pregnant, I just wanted to change the subject" ?

Think it's probably for the best it ends. The joke's are wearing thin, they killed horrible grandma, the other grandma's actress passed away and it was a pretty nice little wrap up to single them moving into a new phase of their life. So a natural end I thought.

Maybe just a special in the future when we see them trying to wrangle their own kids at Friday night dinner. But apart from that there's not much life left in it.

I didn’t realise that they paid tribute to Frances (nice grandma) at the end :(

This was an improvement over the last series, without a doubt. I kind of agree with Marsh though - there’s only so much they can do with the same jokes and they’ve now lost most of the good secondary characters (what with both grandmas now gone, Mr Morris too). It did kind of feel like it was the end (especially with them all momentarily dancing to the track from
the title/credits). Idk, I love the show but quite a lot of the latter episodes (especially from
the series before this one) had been 6/10 when the show at its peak was a solid 9.

My brother messaged me to say he thought Milson's babies were gonna have Jim's face...

Morgan. 02-05-2020 04:18 PM

It seems to be that the cast feel like this is the natural end whereas the writers want to see more

Beastie 02-05-2020 04:27 PM

Yeah series 5 was the worst series. Glad this one picked up.

I literally only just started watching this a couple of weeks ago. Binged watched like crazy fell in love with it and caught up to the last few episodes so to find out its over is sad! Great ending though. I have started on the inbetweeners now for the first time so far its amazing

I rewatched the first couple of series on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. Still funny. Mr Morris, the burglar in the wardrobe, Buggy, the Mercedes woman. The later series never quite lived up to it.

The episode where they first meet Mr Morris is the best episode for me, period. I’ve rewatched it so many times but it never gets old. Genius.

The first episode I ever saw was the one when Jim came to dinner, and I had no idea what to expect.

I was just out of hospital at the time, and laughing or coughing hurt... I nearly considered switching it off and watching it when I was better :joker:
