Do you want the league Void?

Do you want the league void?

Whats your alternative?

I don't want it void because Liverpool deserve the title. :pipe:

Poll coming.....

No...unfair for all those teams that have done well. Those in the bottom three must be the only teams feeling positive.

Agreed Rusti. Also for all the fans that have spent their money supporting their teams.

I don't think there's any risk of the premier league being declared void, but the problem is every other league where the champion isn't quite so obvious. Were the PL to just decide that Liverpool win, they would have difficulty not also applying this to every other league, so you'd have Leeds being crowned Championship winners only 1 point ahead of second placed West Brom.

And the case of promotion/relegation is tricky, too. The national league have cancelled the season entirely, so no one can be relegated from League 2 into the NL,surely.

But then to just deny the champions/automatic promotion places that're looking very secure for the likes of Leeds and Coventry is unfair, too. Whatever the ultimate decision is will upset a lot of people.

I think the best option is to keep delaying the remaining fixtures until they are safe to be played. It'll **** up the next season due to start in August, yes, but with the EUROS already cancelled there isn't the excuse of "they need a summer break" after coming back from them any more. I think a delayed start to the 2020/21 season is reasonable, even if it is as far back as November or December.

They were discussing a delayed start to the season on the radio at lunchtime. Someone suggested 60 minute matches of 4 quarter hour periods.

Play until the title is settled, then end it.

Surprised there is only one vote in it. Then again only 5 votes

if some premier league teams go out of business, and i think it's quite possible, i think the only options are voiding it or declaring winners now. There has to be some sync up with europe on restarting too, because many players will be out of contract come june and there needs to be a transfer window.

It all gets very complicated

Sounds like something American TV would suggest for 'soccerball'. :hee:
