The Queens Speech

What an emotional powerful speech that was

Saph 05-04-2020 07:06 PM

was so boring

lewis111 05-04-2020 07:10 PM

Was it though? I wasn't expecting any different but she didn't really seem to care or have any emotion in what she said and all she said was like "thanks, hope this gets better"

thesheriff443 05-04-2020 07:10 PM

A really moving speech by someone who has devoted her life to this country.

Zizu 05-04-2020 07:11 PM

What was the point anyway.. very few care about her in the first place ( and that’s being polite )... then the speech was written for her and then released to the news channels this morning who showed the speech in its entirety... even read out by newsreaders at lunchtime only for her to read it to the population tonight ?!

I just don’t get it

She made the Royal Family what it is, they generate billions because of her

Amy Jade 05-04-2020 07:23 PM

Boring and totally pointless.

LaLaLand 05-04-2020 07:34 PM

Didn't watch but is she going to donate like a week [if that] of her earnings so that we can have more than enough ventilators made for "her people" or?

No?..

I must have missed the part where Susie Verrico made a speech to the nation tonight

Queen of reading a script

How does she manage to sound so emotionless? How about you sub some of the vulnerable liz? Organise some meals on wheels for those isolating in Kensington ...no, didn't think so.

She's making out we are all in this together and should all show resilience yet the first sign of the virus saw her upping sticks and moving to one of her other 'retreats' .

The Queen has reportedly vacated Buckingham Palace in favour of Windsor Castle amid coronavirus fears.

Queenie was chauffeured out of her London home to her countryside residence in Berkshire last weekend as the Covid-19 spread worsens in the UK

bitontheslide 06-04-2020 06:10 AM

The queen is not meant to show emotion, that's part of her role and to criticise a 94 year old woman for adhering to the government guidelines and self isolating is taking it a bit far

Are you policing my comments again!.. how about you submit an opinion of your own before picking at mine?

She's always had that tone and expression it's not her age or the situation. Where is it written queens can't show emotion?...
