Oh obviously family but I assumed they meant businesses that have shut

Livia 10-04-2020 11:12 AM

My local pub. We should have been having Sunday lunch there this week, the whole family.

Beso 10-04-2020 12:15 PM

Feel bad I didn't say family now.

The stage school for my eldest and trampoline park for youngest. Our Saturday routine is eldest at stage school, then when we pick her up we go to the trampoline park which my youngest really loves. She doesn't understand that we're on lockdown, or why she isn't at school, or why she can't go "jumping", or come into the supermarket with me. It's heartbreaking.

About half of the take-aways on Just Eat are still open here. All Indian takeaway though, all of the Chinese take aways are closed. I think their business has really suffered since long before lockdown started...

Glenn. 10-04-2020 12:35 PM

Most takeaways are still open here. I had an Indian the other night. It was glorious

I do miss a McD's flat white. I have 12 full "free coffee" things in the car... They expire in December... Will I ever get to use them? :bawling:

To be fair I make an amazing chicken balti with pilau rice at home that I prefer to most takeaways, but I do miss a good garlic naan and chicken pakora. Shop-bought naan just isn't the same.

Though I guess chicken pakora batter probably isn't that hard to make? And I was on a random "how to make bread without using yeast" page yesterday that mentioned that Naan bread is really easy to make. Hmmmm......
