How and when did you get sacked from your first job?

Let go from a retail job in your teens or was the first time further down the line?

First job at 16.
Sacked the first week in January.
Went to a brilliant New Year party that lasted 3 days.... was telling my mates about it and the supervisor overheard and grassed me up to the boss.

Never been sacked or taken a fake sick day. I did have a day's sick once from a banana bought from Glenrothes Lidl.

I’ve never been sacked.

Oliver_W 14-04-2020 08:45 AM

I worked in a bloody shop before university lol so I didn't really give a ****. It was a camera shop, and I wasn't meeting sales targets so they let me go.

Marsh. 14-04-2020 09:26 AM

Never been sacked. And worked my notice when leaving jobs.

Dogeatdog 14-04-2020 12:00 PM

I’ve never been sacked from a job but I’ve walked out on one.

user104658 15-04-2020 07:39 AM

Never been sacked. People know an asset when they see one :hee:.

Tbf I was a lazy teen who didn't work... Then I left the job I had at University when Uni ended and I moved away, and then I was with the same company for 9 years (promoted twice but barely a different job for 90% of it [emoji849]) before I escaped their evil clutches to the job I'm in now.

user104658 15-04-2020 07:43 AM

That said, I did run a forum that made a monthly profit for a few years... The **** majorly hit the fan, member base split in half and hated each other and one half left then we just ended up closing it. I guess I was fired by my members? :joker:

A cautionary tale for Tibb admin.

bots 15-04-2020 09:25 AM

i got made redundant once after surviving 3 previous rounds of redundancy. There were so few people left by that point that it was just silly
