BBC planning to air Stritcly with couples in isolation and no audience

According to the Sun the BBC are drawing up plans that will see Celebs and their Pro partners put into isolation together and the audience banned if Social distaning is still required by then

LukeB 14-04-2020 10:33 PM

This exactly. Nobody will do it. God forbid we are still in quarantine then anyway. Argh!

Nicky91 15-04-2020 08:13 AM

same as lets dance Germany, good of the BBC to take onboard that idea

judges, backstage crew also are isolated from outside world yes

so no contacts with family, friends (only via skype once if ur longer than 3 weeks in competition for example)

or during the liveshow Vicky Swarovski there at lets dance Germany shows live feed from family on skype, to say few words after a performance :)

instead of audience, the couples sit on benches to kinda lighten up the room a bit, and each couple clapping for each other which is also kinda cute

and rest of seats filled with pictures of fans (who can send in pictures of themselves) and Lucky ones each week win tickets for live tour that is how it also goes down at german version currently

Nicky91 15-04-2020 08:19 AM

most focus goes to the actual dancing anyway

can strictly pls ditch bruno, and try to get Jorge Gonzalez too besides Motsi, he's iconic, hilarious, he's genuinely fun, anything what bruno isn't :flutter:

there are/had married celebs in lets dance Germany (oldest of bunch 62 Ulrike in a very happy marriage, also mom of 2 children) so i can see celebrities still signing up

i mean more important audience are the tv viewers anyway, dancing in front of millions of people (and all those people can use a distraction, bit of fun too this year)

it is also not a prison :umm2:

if there are problems in the family, you are allowed a bye (and if worse problems sickness due to other illnesses in the family) you are allowed to quit after that one bye

everything still is fun, but under circumstances you need few alternatives in the show

and i also hope craig, Shirley, motsi, bruno do a intro theme tune dance too, for people at home to dance to, and also to share on social media (which is what in germany's lets dance also happens at start of each show)

Liam- 15-04-2020 09:09 AM

Who wouldn’t want to be in isolation with Gorka?

You’re still not explaining why the contestants aren’t allowed any contact with their families until week 3 when they get just one skype call

Nobody wants a random youtuber with a 100k views, an extra in a childs show and Karen who was given a spot because she threatened to call the police over social distancing

Livia 19-04-2020 02:32 PM

I'd be happy to isolate myself with Aljaz for a few weeks, test his stamina...

Saph 19-04-2020 02:39 PM

messy.. just postpone it
