It made me howl how the only reason it seems they did this was to canonically make many fan favourite characters LGBT - we love the reverse of J.K. Rowling

a lot of the fans think Ace is gay. So I'm kinda surprised that they didn't do anything with that. They were pandering to fans so why not make Ace lesbian?

How is it the reverse? Dumbledore was only confirmed as gay after the series ended?

I just meant how she always teases homosexuality in the characters but its never really done explicitly within the films. Whereas this was just like ‘these characters are gay now so there you go’

Also, I think this was RTD poking fun at the fact that during his tenure he was constantly attacked for a "gay agenda" when he included gay characters like Captain Jack. With people complaining that he "made everyone gay".
