YOu know the things you see in a dodgy hotel. Utterly disgusting, i had no idea what they were for until i was in my twenties. People scrape sh!t off the loo and then put them back in the plastic holder thing (I think)

I agree that they are filthy things though, I personally would say at most two uses before you bin and replace, but that's probably bad for dolphins and whatnot.

Yes, you're supposed to clean them with bleach after you clean the toilet. How else do you clean your toilet LT?

If you run bleach around the bowl prior to defecating you will never have an issue. Otherwise a jug of hot water will suffice.

i was going to add that a good wholesome diet would not result in the bowl looking like a night at the speedway circuit.

But LT... I wouldn't recommend putting bleach down the toilet before you poop. Not unless you want Poseidon's Kiss burning your arsehole.

I use them with a bleach-wipe. Keeps the brush clean, and cleans the toilet better.

I don’t know why I’m the only person in the whole entire world who has cottoned on to this tho.

one minor application to the bowl to ensure a clean and streak free flush. once a day

Bleach is cheap

Not in my house.
Loo brushes should only be used on a clean looking loo, for scrubbing under the ridge.
If you need a number two, then pop some loo roll in the loo.
A good flush afterwards and then some bleach or loo cleaner around the bowl.

How do you clean around the rim without one?

The TL uses LTs toothbrush I hear

under rim: soak paper towels in white vinegar and stuff up and leave for a while and then get into it with the cheap green abrasiveness kitchen scourer that can be immediately binned

That's so much work when you can just brush it quickly. You use bleach, paper towels, vinegar and scourers for one job?

Bog brushes are about 60p

I've been buying them for a quid at poundstretchers for years.....not happy.

Sometimes if I do a particularly putrid and heavy unmovable poop, I need to break it up so it fliushes away easier.

Are we really in the toilet bowl LT ~ leave and go the herb garden :laugh:
